About Habitat for Humanity: Southeast BC
Who We Are
Habitat for Humanity Southeast B.C. is a registered Canadian charity—and a proud affiliate of Habitat for Humanity Canada and Habitat for Humanity International.
We believe that everyone deserves a safe, stable, and affordable place to call home. By building affordable housing, we help strengthen communities across our region, one family at a time.
Our Mission
We bring people together to help families build strength, stability, and independence through affordable homeownership.
What We Do
We work hand-in-hand with families and communities to:
✔️ Build homes for affordable homeownership
✔️ Support Habitat Partner Families with tailored mortgage and homeownership guidance
✔️ Run ReStores in Castlegar and Grand Forks—selling donated goods to fund our mission
Habitat ReStores
Our Habitat ReStores are home and building supply stores that sell new and gently used materials, furniture, and household items—at a fraction of retail prices.
Donations from individuals and businesses help stock the shelves, and proceeds from every sale directly support:
• Local home-building projects
• Ongoing support for Habitat Partner Families
• Our day-to-day operations
📍 You’ll find our ReStores in Castlegar and Grand Forks—come shop, donate, or volunteer!
How We Work
We rely on the generosity of our community.
Volunteers, along with donated funds and materials, are the heart of everything we do—whether that’s building homes or keeping our ReStores running smoothly.
📍 Where We Work
Habitat for Humanity Southeast B.C. proudly serves the Boundary and Kootenay regions—from Rock Creek to the Alberta border, and from Golden down to the U.S. border.
